Hope Lives
Share
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
— 1 Peter 1:3
Without Christ, hope is more of a wish than a certainty. We look around and see division, suffering, confusion, and pain. And beneath it all is the quiet ache we’re often too afraid to name: What if none of this gets better?
But on Easter, God answers with thunder.
Jesus, once crucified, is now risen. And in Him, hope lives—not in theory, not in emotion, but in a Person who passed through death and now reigns in resurrected glory.
This is not the hope the world offers—fragile, fleeting, tied to circumstances.
This is living hope: rooted in Christ, sustained by His Spirit, and secured by His victory.
Resurrection Power—Now
The resurrection is not just the promise of life after death.
It is the power of life now.
Paul writes:
"If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."
— Romans 8:11
This same Spirit empowers us to persevere, to endure, to rejoice even in suffering—and to turn from sin.
Not because life is easy, but because Christ is alive—and His kingdom has come, even as we wait for its fullness.
The resurrection means sin doesn’t rule us.
Shame doesn’t name us.
Death doesn’t own us.
Despair doesn’t define us.
And the world doesn’t have the last word.
A Kingdom Already and Not Yet
The resurrection announces that the reign of Christ has already begun—even as we wait for its fullness to come.
In a world that still groans under the weight of sin, we live between what has already been won and what is still to come. This is the tension of Christian hope: confident now, complete later.
So we don’t wait with uncertainty. We wait with assurance.
We don’t just remember the empty tomb—we build our lives on it.
Christ is risen. And that means there is nothing in your life—no failure, no fear, no final breath—that can undo what He has already secured for His children.
Draw Near in Hope
Let this truth soften your heart today. Let it silence the lies of despair and stir your soul to worship.
The grave is empty.
Christ is alive.
And hope is no longer something we chase. It’s Someone we follow.
🙏 Prayer:
Risen Jesus, You are my living hope. When all else fails, You remain faithful. Help me to live in the power of Your resurrection, not just waiting for heaven, but trusting You here and now in every detail of my life. Anchor my soul in Your kingdom—already begun and still to come. Amen.
